Having worked for Brunel from the age of 14, Brian has grown and evolved with the Company. He became MD in 2018, following his father’s retirement, and his hands-on approach ensures that we continue to grow, while delivering the high-quality service Brunel is known for.
Nadine Venables
SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER
Brian’s wife Nadine has been a valued member of the team since 2016 joining shortly after their wedding. She is a capable, trustworthy, accomplished, and proactive manager who is highly respected by the team and customers alike.
Eleanor Venables
CONSULTANT
‘Sister to the Boss’, Eleanor is currently studying towards her ACCA and now runs her own consultancy business EV Consultancy Ltd. Eleanor helps all group companies with day to day finance and management accounts. Working from the Log Cabin, Eleanor is happy to muck in with whatever needs doing and hopes to one day get her HGV licence.
Tom Smith
ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS LEAD
Tom joined the Brunel team post COVID and has been invaluable ever since. From spending 3 months in Scotland dismantling a wash-plant, to leading and managing the site and transport team, Tom’s skill set knows no bounds. Tom’s position at Brunel has grown from head engineer to engineering and operations lead, continuing to take on more responsibility and ownership.
Max Venables
DIRECTOR OF PLYMOUTH ALBION RFC
Max has worked across all sectors of the business, but the majority of this time is now focused on his new role in the Group as MD of Plymouth Albion RFC. As family businesses go, he remains a key part of Brunel’s continued success.
