It’s a sad reality that lots of children have to spend Christmas day on a hospital ward and we’d like to ensure that every child in Derriford has a present to open this year.
We’re collecting donations for The Children’s Happy Hospital Fund and any support you can offer would be gratefully received.
The Children’s Fund have created an amazon wish list with gifts and activities that the children will love, and donating has never been easier.

About the Children’s Hospital Fund
The Children’s Happy Hospital Fund is a registered charity, supporting the Children and Young People’s Health Directorate at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. They also support the Community Nursing team, Children’s Theatres and other Paediatric areas within Derriford Hospital.
Many children and young people need admission to hospital. For many, it is only a short stay but for others, who have long term chronic illnesses, frequent hospital stays and also continuing care at home is required.
Staff work hard to help and support children and young people, their families and carers through these difficult and sometimes traumatic times. However, there is always more that can be done and CHHF works to do ‘that little bit more’, such as purchase play and recreational items, improve the facilities for carers, buy additional medical equipment or support the provisions that cannot be financed from any other source.
The Children’s Happy Hospital aims to make a difference for all young patients, for their families and carers both in hospital and at home.
